It all began in 2010…

when a friend decided to retire and sell his tax preparation business.  He reached out to Ray because he was aware of Ray’s experience and advanced education in the tax preparation field.  Ray and Linda didn’t hesitate when the offer was presented.  Ray had worked with a large number of the existing tax clients in a different environment and had professional relationships already in place so the transition was smooth and the transaction was a perfect fit.  On January 1, 2011 RLE Tax, Inc was organized and began preparing tax returns for these clients.

What does RLE stand for?

The RLE in our name comes from a previous business that Ray and Linda owned which provided fuel tax reporting for trucking companies.  That business, Ray-Lin Enterprises, Inc. was phased out over time as the industry became more streamlined and truck lines were able to more efficiently process the required filings in-house.  But the name stuck and carried through to form RLE Tax, Inc.

What kind of forms can RLE Tax prepare for me?

At RLE Tax, we are able to prepare returns for you and your business whether you are a sole proprietor, part of a partnership, an S corporation or a C corporation.  We prepare everything from the 1040EZ to form 990 for non-profit organizations.

We offer competent processing of returns for some special client types including expatriates who may qualify for the foreign earned income exclusion (form 2555) as well as members of the clergy who are recognized by the Internal Revenue Service as self-employed taxpayers and who may qualify for income-tax free housing allowance.

What other services does RLE Tax offer?

In addition to income tax preparation we offer bookkeeping as well as after-the-fact and real-time payroll processing, with direct deposit.  We process all state and federal reporting requirements for our payroll clients.
